About Me

It is said that fish swim, even when “sleeping.” There’s something to be said for that. We should continuously aspire, explore and question. We all have grand adventures inside of us, whether professed or tucked away.  And so here is mine. This is my exploration, my dialogue, my active participation.  This is me trusting — saying yes to the unknown, the unfamiliar and the scary.  Thank you, Daddy, for tucking us in every night with a “Goodnight, sleep like a fish.”

At the moment, I call Cape Verde home — an island nation only slightly larger than Rhode Island.  In the morning, I go by professor and in the afternoon, I go by teacher.  Although my title is educator, I am learning much more than I’m teaching.

    Krista,
The experience you have so eloquently communicated, radiates a lifestyle of envy. You have created an experience from examples shared, and now you have become an inspiration to many. How inpired I am by your examples, just hearing how your loving embrace has brought you much more than you could have ever thought possible. The giving continues to go full circle, as everyone involved finds themselves feeling as though they are the fortunate ones.
Once again, how inspiring to hear how you have taken other’s differences, and single handedly turned them into times of cherrished moments. I remember what it was like to experience your giving spirit. You being who you are, continued to gently encourage while all along remaining a friend. I can’t say it enough, I appreciate who you are, and I know Cape Verde will be a better place for having had the pleasure of sharing your gifts.
