The best ice cream I’ve had in Cape Verde, and it’s so easy to make!
2 containers of cream
1 can of condensed milk
A pinch of cinnamon
A pack of bolacha, we use Maria cookies (or any cookies you prefer — teddy grahams, oreos, fruit, etc.)
Directions: Chill the cream in the fridge for approximately 20 minutes. While the cream is getting cold, crush the cookies in the bottom of the dish. Make sure the cookies cover the bottom of the dish. We use a small casserole dish to make the ice cream, but you can use just about anything you like. Combine the cream, condensed milk, a pinch of cinnamon and the crushed cookies in the casserole dish. Mix until all ingredients are combined. Put in freezer for 4-5 hours and serve! Top with fruit or any other ingredients you wish! It is a treat sure to please everyone!
